Why Steps Matter

Climate change and CO₂ savings are only one side of the coin; more movement and a healthier life is the other.

10,000 Steps - Where Does It Come From?

The 10,000 steps come from advertising for a Japanese step counter from 1965 called "Manpo-kei" (meaning: "10,000 steps counter").

Setting Your Goal

Set your steps goal so it neither under- nor over-challenges you. Start with e.g. 6,000 steps.

The Rainbow System

The app colors the bars when you reach your daily goal:

  • Day 1: Red
  • Day 2: Orange
  • Day 3: Yellow
  • ...until a rainbow after a week

If you miss a day, the color starts again at red.

Customize Your Goal

Top left of the step counter you'll find a gear icon for settings with 4 quick settings and individual options.
