Distance was not recorded or recorded incorrectly

If your distance was not or incorrectly recorded, there are various possible causes.

Most Common Causes

1. Location Permission Not Set to "Always"

This is the most common reason. Check:

  • iPhone: Settings → Apps → [App] → Location → must be "Always"
  • Android: Settings → Apps → [App] → Permissions → Location → must be "Allow all the time"

2. Battery Optimization Kills the App (Android)

Disable battery optimization: Settings → Apps → [App] → Battery → "Unrestricted"

3. Garmin/Wearable Permissions Missing

With Garmin, all permissions must be granted, including "Health data". We only need distance and duration.

4. App Not Started / Forgot to Start

With manual tracking, you must press "Start" before the ride.

5. Poor GPS Signal

In buildings, tunnels, or densely built areas, the GPS signal can be weak.

Distance Only Partially Recorded

Sometimes a distance is recorded in multiple parts. Check your activity list.

Request Distance Correction

If a distance is missing, we can add it manually. Contact us with: date, distance in km, duration, and optionally a screenshot from Garmin/Strava/Komoot.
